Sorry to do this, but I just hope at least a couple of people won't ignore this. The camp that I go and help at every summer is in desperate need of an
update to its septic system. It needs an update because it really doesn't meet today's environmental standards. Beyond that, when the camp is full,
the current system fills up and makes quite a mess in the field. We've had to rope off areas in the past. Needless to say, this is something that has
needed addressing for the past number of years... and the cost is way beyond what the camp is able to manage as a non-profit charitable camp.
A young guy connected with the camp applied for the Aviva Community Support Contest and wouldn't you know it? The camp passed the qualification stage!
Now it's in the voting stage. Basically, all we need is people who will vote every day. We need votes and votes are free. Just go HERE and vote every day. That's all I'm asking. It could potentially make a difference by
providing funds for the camp and also the helping the environment around the camp which includes Lake Huron.
Feel free to read up on the project and the nature of the contest and you can also visit the camp website. It's
a Christian camp as you might expect, so if that's something you don't feel comfortable supporting, I completely understand. But I thought I'd
throw it up here anyway. Every vote helps. It only takes a few seconds to vote each day. I'd be very grateful for any help.
If nothing else, this would make my own visit to camp a much better experience... so you can think of it as helping me personally too.
Thanks for reading all of this.
