The article says Coleman conceded, but only after the state's high court unanimously ruled against him. This is the same guy who publicly admonished Franken for not conceding before a recount for the very tight race even started. Eight months later, Coleman finally takes his own advice when there's no avenue left to him. What a dink.
Commentary aside, does anybody here have an opinion of Franken or what his role as the 60th caucusing Democrat will mean to political events going forward? My general impression of him from having heard some of his stuff on Air America in the past is that he's actually pretty damn smart about policy issues, political machinations, and the like. He was a lot more interesting to listen to than he was entertaining from a humorous standpoint.
