Krugman is also a twice-weekly columnist for the NY Times as well as a professor of economics at Princeton University but perhaps most famously, has been a very vocal critic of Bush economic policy over the last several years. It should be noted that Krugman's Nobel prize is materially unrelated to any of his criticisms of Bush or the current economic mess but instead is centered on his research into economic globalization, research which started 30 years ago.
