Couple things first off:
1. Congrats to the Lakers, winning the top seed in the West is no small feat this year.
2. Can someone get me the rabbit's foot (or the dirt) that Isiah's using on Dolan? How the fuck do you lose TWO positions in a month and stay with the same team? How does this work?
Edit: 2 more things:
3. Congrats to Kobe, who finally broke through and won his first MVP. About damn time.
4. I don't care if they win or lose, the story of the playoffs is the Hawks. Talk about destroying the Celtic mystique. Props to ATL.
East:
1 Boston v. 8 Atlanta: Duh.
2 Detroit v 7 Philadelphia: Not a close series.
3 Orlando v 6 Toronto: I don't think Toronto's going to make this as close as people say they will.
4 Cleveland v 5 Washington: Going with the upset here; if the Wiz don't pull this off they might never recover.
West:
1 LA v 8 Denver: _enver. Nuff said.
2 New Orleans v 7 Dallas: Yeah, yeah, the Mavs blew the Hornets out 2 days ago. The Hornets had nothing to play for. Try 'em now, bitches.
3 San Antonio v 6 Phoenix: Pick 'em. This series determines the rest of the West (at least) playoffs. Being champs you'd normally suggest Spurs, but the Suns are built specifically for them.
4 Utah v 5 Houston: Houston doesn't have enough to play with the Jazz.
Round 2:
East:
1 Boston v 4 Cleveland: I'm going with the Celtics here because they cannot POSSIBLY lose game 7 against the Hawks. Can they?
2 Detroit v 3 Orlando: Orlando has a good team, but I don't think they can hang with the Pistons over 7 games.
West:
1 LA v 4 Utah: Should be a good series, LA is the better team with all cylinders going, but the Jazz have been where the Lakers are trying to get to. They won't give it up easily.
2. New Orleans v 3 San Antonio: Yet another good series; the Spurs are too experienced for the Hornets to hang with.
