If only he could get off the weed and turn to robbing and killing people like a model NFL employee.

well, he suffers from an anxiety disorder and self medicates. feel sorry for the guy, hope he can get his act together at least until he is physically unable
to be a runningback in the nfl anymore.

It's not a high addiction drug, but people do get addicted to it. His self-medication may be a sign he's one of the addicted.
On a similar note a guy I went to High School with was kicked off the UT football team for smoking pot. He got drafted in the supplemental draft by the Vikings that year, but I heard he left camp because he couldn't pass a drug test. He was a beast of an athlete and with a little dedication and no weed I think he could have been outstanding. Picture a 6'3" 280lb former RB that was a state 200m sprint champ at 230 rushing the passer or as a TE. He threw it all away too for the magic herb.

i dont know if theres anything the new comish can do about the latest failed test, as it was up to the doctors to determine the punishment for the most recent
failed test- which they opted to make him wait until September to apply for reinstatement. if the comish punished him again by either denying his reinstatement
over this last failed test or a suspension once reinstated, i imagine his attorneys could claim double jeopardy, being punished twice for the same offense.

Rev Famine wrote:Lol at interent legal opinions. The Dr. in the case makes a recomendation to the commisioner. That is all. From the article: The doctors also recommended that Williams not be allowed to apply for reinstatement until September, sources said. The commissioner usually adheres to the advice of the medical advisers under the substance abuse policy. Here is the interesting peice from the article: Williams still owes the Dolphins $8.6 million for breaching his contract when he sat out the 2004 season, but they've given no signal they want him back.

I think reinstating Lawrence Phillips would have more of an effect on this NFL season.

My comparison was between their levels of production on the field, not between their personality types.
Obviously one is a significantly worse human being than the other. |

I know I'm harping on a comment that was mostly tongue in cheek, but I honestly think Ricky Williams could have a decent end of the season for the
Dolphins. As said earlier, it really can't get any worse.
