I am no kobe or basketball fan, but if they are going to suspend him for that, then they better start suspending every player that does a intentional elbow
period. I think its a little excessive, a fine certainly would be in order. But if they do uphold the suspension, then they need to be uniform for it.

Fine, no suspension. Kobe does that sort of "woops sorry I elbowed you in the face" crap all the time. Even looking at this video, how do you shoot,
follow through, and then swing your arm way to the outside of your body?

The NBA called Manu, and he told them he did not think it was intentional.
Radio interview with Kobe not long ago: listen edit: The thing is that Kobe did intentionally try to draw a foul, just like any other player would. But I do not think he intentionally tried to elbow him in the face. So he did intentionally swing his arm to make contact but he did not think that type of contact would occur. Hopefully for everyone that bought Knicks tickets to tonights game they overrule this call.

I wish Kobe would have beat the shit out of Ginobli. I truly despise Manu Ginobli, and anyone else that centers their entire game on flopping.

do you know what I hate? retarded comments like that. Manu is a genuinely talented player with a lot more heart and humility than most "superstars."
I don't like flopping any more than you - and maybe less, hi Karl Malone - but holy shit.

Looked to me like Ginobili pushed into him while he was in the air and he flailed his arms to keep his balance and hit the guy completely by accident. If that
warrants a game suspension, then I agree with others that the guys who commit intentional fouls should be getting suspensions too. If he was really trying to
draw a foul there, then I think he should win the Oscar for Best Actor this year, because I was really convinced that he was just trying to keep his balance
and not land awkwardly.

Never said he wasn't talented Isk, calm down, lol.
His whole game DOES center around him flopping like a fucking fish though/ |

It does not Perry. I hate Ginobli's flailing and flopping as much as anyone; but if all the sudden he stopped doing it tomorrow it's not like his game
would change. Honestly, that's why it pisses me off so much; because he's a generally talented player that does idiotic things and gets away with it.

It looked intentional -- he intentionally tried to create space and/or intentionally tried to make contact and drawn the foul. No one has a follow-through
like that as part of a shot. But, I also don't think he meant to hit him in the face or hurt him per say -- just make contact. He might have felt Ginobli
there, but he wasn't looking at him enough to aim for the face.
What bothers me is that no fouls were called and, if Manu is standing a couple of inches to either side, he gets hit on the shoulder and we never hear about it. Stuff like that happens on and off the ball every game. It should either be a foul or it shouldn't and it should be based on the act itself and not dependent on if the player is accidentally hurt. |

Just another way the man is trying to keep Kobe down.

He didn't hit Ginobli, but that play looked exactly the same as what Kobe did to Ginobli. Flailing around and causing contact.

Anyone think he's going to get a third this year?
