I saw the story on Drudge earlier today and was really impressed by the heroism of the interpreter and security guard. It takes guts to rush a suicide bomber, a lot of guts.

Mocking conservatives is definitely not a sign of being non-partisan.Why do you think I am mocking conservatives? I am mocking those that think there is some media conspiracy. On this board it usually comes with a "leftist" and "whore" thrown in. Maybe a "Marxist" as well. Oh and lest I forget an "enemy" or three. It's not a conservative trait per se - it's a paranoid one. I thought it was an outstanding story - and an opportunity to mock those that see obscure blogs as more reliable than actual journalism.

So, an un-slanted article proves that there are no slanted ones out there, eh? Well, I'm certainly convinced! (By the way, though, I don't believe there's a widespread "conspiracy" involved in the media. In these days, there's a lot of people who are leaking their political view into the media they produce--it's just that when you have around 80% of journalists, editors, etc., that are liberal or "moderate with liberal views"...the leakage looks awfully one-sided.)

Why do I think you're mocking conservatives? It's because you refer to the "leftists" controlling the media. A non-partisan version of
your post would have blamed: the government, corporations, or other non-partisan entities for media bias.
It's not at all a conservative trait, you just portrayed it as being a conservative trait by referring to "leftists" controlling the media. There are numbers of people out there who believe the media has a conservative bias, that Rove and his ilk control the media. Your post wasn't aimed at people who were paranoid, it was aimed at conservatives. If your post were aimed at people who were paranoid it wouldn't have blamed either the left or the right for media bias.

You were mocking the idea of a left wing media conspiracy. The ubiquity of slanted media articles would be the most obvious symptom of such a conspiracy, so you're ridiculing the idea of a proliferation of slanted articles. Your evidence to support that ridicule is one un-slanted article. I gave you a ridiculous conclusion for your unsupportable assumption. Thus the " No need to get all defensive... :)
