If you, like me, got a bit annoyed with the fact that yuku uses an email address for the User ID, and found that using ye olde eZboard User ID and what you
swore was the right password didn't get you into the new boards - do not fear - here's a quick guide on how to find an email address that probably
isn't valid or had slipped your mind:
1) Go to ezboard.com and login, if by default you aren't already, and click on the 'Control Center' link in the upper right:
2) Once there, click on 'Edit Profile':
3) Once in the profile, scroll down to the Instant Messenger info block and look the immediate left of that block. There's your old email addy (mine has been obscured on purpose):
4) Go back to the Prexus Board in yuku and login with the now known User ID and the password you've been using with your old post name ID in eZboard (address obscured on purpose):
5) Make sure to change your old email addy to one you'll remember. Click on the 'Click to Open Menu' in the right hand side of the yuku bar at top, then select 'Settings' link in the "Account" block that appears in the lower left, and then select "Email" from the tabs - change your email addy:
While many folks probably already knew their email addy, or figured it out on their own - there are some that didn't or may not have (been getting some IMs at work just moments ago about it). I think this was one detail that may not have been caught prior to the transition.
The only other reason I posted this is if your community doesn't know how to get into the new e-board, you're not going to have one for too long - frustration will take over. That and we didn't have a backup plan for registered folks to drop notes to admins to take care of just such a problem. Lesson learned if anything else.
