In Everquest is it Leuwis and Klark, two wood elf brothers roaming Norrath. In real life it is Mike and James, brothers in bond but not in blood. For those who knew Leuwis or just saw him as a blue bardish streak racing across the zone, I need to say that Mike is no longer with us. There was a plane accident last Thursday, and Mike did not survive.
Mike began playing EQ with me in June 1999. The travelling duo of Leuwis and Klark was his idea because he loved the idea of travelling and seeing new things. He was a member of Twilight Council for the last few years. In over three years he reached level 47 because he loved to roam and meet people. Many many times we would log in to just see a new zone or find people to role-play with. If you met him in game you knew what kind of people-person Mike is.
The main reason why I enjoyed EQ so much was because I got to team up with Mike. In game he called me his brother; I value that most of all.
