Awh come on gents. This is silly.
Christianity is a huge umbrella that encompasses many beliefs. Because your view of the faith doesn't match with Boro's doesn't mean either of you is wrong. Nobody owns the title and can dictate what counts as "following the faith". My version may be old testament smite thy foes type of stuff. Yours might be turn the other cheek, love your neightbor, puppies & butterflies. Trying to hold someone to some ultimate "Christian" standard is crazy. The pope might disagree with you. You might disagree with the views of the greek orthodox or the snake charming, tounges speaking crazy folk. Honest well meaning Christians could have different beliefs in something as simple as "thou shalt not kill'. By a strict reading that makes you a pacifist and unable to take another life. I bet you'd find that the vast majority of active military are deeply christian and see taking another life when sanctioned by their government as ok. It's a tangled web and highly contradictory in many places.

That basically amounts to "I'm a christian until it interferes with my politics".Ahh! So you too have a better idea of what it means than the several Popes who led Crusades. Graz, they are obviously trying to play word games to score points against somebody they don't like rather than confront consequential things. I won't allow it and they don't like me being uncooperative. Appreciate your post though.

Where did you get your degree in Psychology? For the record I don't like or dislike you. I don't know you from Adam. I do know what you post and I get a kick out of you avoiding any rational discussion. By all means, keep up with the
"noncooperation." It's as funny as all get out.

The thing is, Boro, that you demand personal information and explanation from people and then refuse to provide it in return. Links to other people's
writing is not the same as providing your OWN opinion, information and writings.
You don't have to provide these things, but it does make you look very silly when you demand it from others and refuse to accept their views without it whilst offering up your links as The Truth. If they did provide links, you would shout them down because of "Muslim" or "Mohamadan" or "Leftist" or "whatevertermyou'vecomeupwithtoday" links, whereas any "Christian" or "Rightist" or "Conservative" based things you post you will claim as being divinely right. And so, we laugh. A lot! ***Edit: This is like your finance experience isn't it? |

Borofin wrote: That explains so much. The reason there are so many Polish jokes in America has more to do with the history of immigration to the United States than actual Polish history. Most of the white immigrants to this country were western Europeans and therefore the Polish immigrants were genetically inferior to their contemporary competitors in the New World. When it came time to hire for jobs the hierarchy went something like this: Irishman -> Italian -> Chinaman -> Freed Negro slave -> Polacks. In fact, it was so difficult for the almost neanderthal polish to find work in the northeast, then the absolute economic center of the United States, that most had to move further west where they made sausages, got really fat and eventually formed the Norris division. |

Sorry for hiding my own opinions for so long, Creac. I will try to express myself more in the future.
Genetically inferior huh. My Grandmother lived to 103 and her sister is still alive now and has hit 103 herself. And that side of the family went into business for themselves in upstate New York (farming) where they still have a presence. I'll take your comments as a joke, but coming from you it was meant to be harmful instead of light hearted of course.

I KNOW I fight for the good. You do not fight for anything; you rant on a message board (more than one i'd suspect). That's all, you are no hero no matter how much Tom Clancy you read or how much you suck up to the current and ex-service members of this board you'll never be more than a loud mouth. Christ said to render unto Caesar, he didn't say revolt. Christ's kingdom was not in the here but the hereafter.

Cafu - sarcasm noted, but don't push it too far, please.
Boro - I think you will find that a lot of people will be far more interested to read YOUR views rather than those just linked from others. Sure, you may be asked to back up claims with links and data, but it will be very refreshing and actually provide something to discuss! Kayso - be good, even if it hurts :-) |

To further Cafu's point, try reading an analysis of Tennessee Williams' "A Streetcar Named Desire." What's pointed out is the crude
nature of the bestial, base stupidity of early America's worst character flaws as personified quite deliberately in the Polack named Stanley Kowalski.
Other than claiming to be a Christian, I haven't ever seen our resident Stanley ever say anything that would suggest to a careful reader that he is in fact a Christian or subscribes to any of Christianity's tenets at all. If Stan here could enlighten us and tell us about some of the things Jesus said or did that have held some meaning for him, I personally would love to hear about it. Stupid, ignorant, violent Polack.

For a humorous example, I sold myself as a slave at a charity auction once. I ended up spending the day chopping wood at a farm. It's slavery, but it's far from immoral. |

With so many avenues for attacking Boro, why go for the one that gets very close to racist?
Saying "Stupid, ignorant, violent man" would have been sufficient. Neil. |

Whether they are officially out-of-bounds or not, I think attacking people's ethnicity is in bad taste. It's especially so when the people doing the
attacking are invisible behind their forum handles.

The picture of the three monkeys Borofin posted is from the Toshogu Shrine in Nikko, near Tokyo, Japan. Does that mean Borofin is now practicing Shinto and
Buddhism? And that's where he gets his information about Islam?
