"Hello, friend..."That dude could seem annoying, but in my experiences he was really good at putting together excellent groups. Of course, those groups had me in there so that helped a lot. From my perspective of already ace players when I started: Memnenth Zeroiz Pepina Lyandras Mikantifson (or something goofy like that) There was an old-school mage who went from Harbingers of Wrath to Fallen Alliance and for the life of me, I can't remember that toon's name. He was very good though.

The real question is how do you define old school? I know a ton of people from old world/kunark days but I tend to think of old school as "before anyone was lvl 50 on prexus" and that was a very long time ago. I think my oldest "meeting people" memory from prexus would be running into a friendly Enchanter Marlos from Order of the Pheonix in a guild even in everfrost a very very long time ago. I don't know who I miss... I guess I miss stasis/PDF the most because it felt like we really did something amazing as a group. I know there are many on this board who would decry nasir a useless piece of shit but I knew nasir before he turned into what he became and I was a young paladin of no particular value and he was a well off monk who took his time to help me get a divine might piece from kedge. It wasn't the nasir everyone today would describe but he was a good man. Galidin  |

Laotzu was pretty much the reason I started a monk and said to hell with Rangers.
I played a necro for a while because Bremen was the man. I remember playing my mother's boyfriends wizard in Fear one night from like 8 at night until 6 in the morning when we finally dropped CT, Cersei let me come that night. This was pre Kunark. The first time I ever got ported was by a druid named Tatiana (I butchered that spelling), many years later when I really started to play the game to raid, I was guilded with her. |
