A friend of mine is an executive at Travelers. She advised me a couple of years ago to make sure I had a sewer backup addendum added to my policy. It usually
isn't there unless you ask for it. Without it sump pump failures (like this) won't be covered. She saved me loads of $$$
Of course I could have saved more if I already owned that $18 sump pump water level alarm I just ordered from amazon. |

How bad is the bar? I would think everything else is replaceable, but it would suck if you lost all the custom work on the bar to water damage.

The bar is aok. It seems like the ceramic title floor acted as a barrier for the ground water coming up through the floor. All the tiled area was bone dry. All
the carpeted area is completely saturated. So much so that when you step on the carpet a puddle forms around your foot and you splash when you walk. All the
TVs are on the walls, electronics and nearly everything in the storage area are on shelves.
So it looks like around $5,000 in carpet + whatever it costs to remove it and dry out the basement. No big deal really. just a really annoying inconvence. A friend of mine just told me the litle kid she runs for (Team in Training) died yesterday. http://www.camerondiamond.org/ So really the house could have burned down and I'd be able to put it into perspective. |

He would have taken more actions to safe-guard himself, but he was laid up with knee surgery and his wife thought it was a waste of money, especially since
they were living in St. Louis (or was it Canada?) at the time.
(Prepare for the "hahahaha here's my fan club!" post.) On a side note (or back onto the "real" topic, if you prefer): $5,000 in carpetYou apparently have way too much disposable income. |

I think it's worthy to note that while you accepted handouts (FEMA trailor, government aid etc.) because of your problem, Zif on the other hand had prepared ahead of time; taking careful note that his insurance policy covered him in an unfortunate event such as this one. While I was merely joking with Zif, I wanted to point out that is probably the single dumbest thing I've ever read. Just to clarify a few of your thoughts. 1. It's the communitys fault that the Army Corpse of Engineers built shitty levees decades ago? You know, that FEDERAL agency that assured a few million people they were safe. You're right. We shouldnt take the federal governments word for it. Let's pool our money together and do an independent study!!!! That'll show em! 2. I did not take hand outs. I was fully insured. So much so that I was able to buy a new 45K vehicle in cash. I was able to add 750 square feet of living space to my house. I was able to remodel my house and increase it's value by 40%. How's that for accountability. By the way, thanks to your tax dollars I was given a nice federal grant that I never have to pay back!!! Woot. 3. There were some fires in California and there was some type of federal emergency blah blah. Why should my tax dollars go towards those idiots? Fires happen out there all the time out there. Don't those idiots realize that? You seriously are dumb. (nice troll btw) (Prepare for the "hahahaha here's my fan club!" post.)hahahaha here's my fan club. |

We shouldnt take the federal governments word for it. Let's pool our money together and do an independent study!!!! That'll show em!The truth is that your community knew that the levees weren't build to stand a categroy 5 storm and you did nothing about it. Instead you blamed, and continue to blame, the federal governemt for not taking care of you. The Army never said that the levees would hold in a category 5 storm. Your corrupt leaders sealed your fate, not the federal government. 2. I did not take hand outs. I was fully insured. So much so that I was able to buy a new 45K vehicle in cash. The truth is that your community knew that the levees weren't build to stand a categroy 5 storm and you did nothing about itObvious troll is obvious. What the fuck do you want them to do? Hire an independent firm to rebuild the entire levee system in the Gulf South. That would be an interesting vote. All for raising taxes by 1million % to pay for the federal government fucking up the levees in the first place say "I". I never "asked" for a handout btw. Show me where I did. I simply said I live in New Orleans and I lost my house........... (katrina didnt even directly hit new orleans, nor was it Cat. 5 when it made landfall) I still <3 u, Raduk. Btw, I was at elemental plateau and some rogue from your guild wanted to duel me. He was horrible. I hope the rest of your guild isnt as bad as this guy. This was on my lock who has 2 pieces of S1 gear btw. |

My guild is full of noobs, and we probably lose/gain 2-3 rogues a week. Names work better than "Hey I dueled this one guy out of your 250+
members...."
You wouldn't have to raise taxes if your politicians weren't busy fleecing you. I didn't say you asked for handouts, I said that you took them. I like how your story has gone from "I didn't take" to "I didn't ask". Of course we all know that you asked, the federal government didn't just give you a grant without your application. Just accept the fact that you're a freeloading troll living in a community that would rather play victim than work hard to solve their own problems.

Dude, like i'm going to listen to a priest with 0 health and 0 healing...... Also, don't remember his name.. I really didnt care that much. Just
thought it was funny.
Anyway, of course I took the grant. If someone came up to you and said "here ya go we're going to give you 20K thousand no strings attached" you would say no? Of course you'd say yes. No true form of altruism exists, Raduk. Time to let a little bit of reality sink in yo! Good call on the politicians too, we'll just cut the spending(and corruptoin) and go ahead with reinforcing the levees on our own. Cuz you know, that's the logical thing to do. I mean this in the nicest way possible - - - you're a fucking idiot. |

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything
that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy
