Yeah, and then it turns out that Matthews doesn't know when the attack on the USS Cole occurred. Apparently, there are a number of people appearing on
that show that should brush up on history.

All the moonbats watch msnbc, Physic. It dishes out anti-Americanism and fellates Obama nightly. What more could you ask?
And I've never seen, heard, or heard of Kevin James before. It wouldn't surpise me that msnbc shops around for the most incoherent "conservatives" they can find.

I don't think he qualifies as a micro-me. Perhaps a nano-me though? I had trouble finding him on search engines. He was usually a few pages in because
there is an actor of the same name. I finally discovered he is on a couple hous in LA on one station and was recently holding down the nightshift.

That was pretty funny. I'm sure you could make any of those talking heads look stupid just as easily, but apparently this guy doesn't know beans about
the run-up to WW2, which is appalling but not surprising.
That being said, the sort of "ambush" interview where you prove someone is stupid by pulling out a fact they should theoretically know about history, current events, or whatever, is exactly what you'd expect from Chris Matthews. Without resorting to Google, how many of you know the details of Munich or the date of the attack on the USS Cole? ![]() Harmony of Souls : My Quiver All this science I don't understand; it's just my job five days a week. |

Yeah I agree with Cafu - I don't think it started as an ambush interview. The guy was spouting off about Chamberlain and appeasement. If he is the one
drawing the parallel to Obama then he should know what the fuck he is saying. As so many like he has no idea what's he's saying he is merely parroting
the daily talking points.
On Matthews... I've grown to dislike him immensely. I think it started when I saw him get into with Stewart on The Daily Show. He is completely arbitrary in the way he interviews, one day throwing softballs the next ambushing his guest. I didn't see when he talked about Obama making him all tingly. He was bitch slapped by the Clinton campaign and rightly so. He had to on air apologize. But what really showed him to be a child was his next interview with an Obama supporter is the one that got famous. I saw that one live. He ambushed this poor guy and made him look like a fool. On the heels of his run in with the Clinton campaign it left a very bad taste in my mouth.

You see The Daily Show the other night? Stewart showed a clip of Matthews and Terry McAuliffe (that might be incorrect spelling, but it's the guy from
Hillary's campaign) going at each other over the results of West Virginia's primary. Stewart said "let's see which one can be more faux nice
while actually insulting the other one in the West Virginia Douche Off." Then they played the clip of the two of them talking with the dueling banjo
music playing in the background. At the end Stewart declared "well shucks, I can't decide, you're both big douches!"

Speaking of ambush interviews, here's one some of you may not have seen. An interviewer tries to ambush a young supporter of Obama assuming he doesn't
know anything about Obama's policies and is just supporting him based on emotion. But instead the man has very strong and somewhat specific opinions on
healthcare and by the end of the interview they both seem to share a lot of common ground.
and yes, that is an Eagles cap he is wearing bitches.

John McCain: He was for campaign finance reform before he ran for president. |

LOL, the interviewee started with "because he is the best qualified candidate" and when asked what qualifications, he changes the subject to
"being able to bring people together", then asked about specifics of bringing people together, he changes topics to healthcare (which is an
option/outlook rather than Obama's past work). Yes, it's a good example of typical Obama supporter - they clutch to theoretical change and support the
man out of hope.

I agree with Fish and Cafu. This guy got what he deserved for not having a clue and being asked to clarify his own statement. Idiot.

This thread had everything to do with a neocon asshole feigning outrage over something he doesn't understand because his side always seems to have problems with nuance and complex issues -- it had nothing to do with Matthew's lack of historical knowledge. Even if Matthews doesn't know who the current President is, it isn't some sort of magical time machine that makes the neocon right. Talk about appeasement, you've got to be the most outrageous neocon apologist on the boards. Klark, Kayso will be the first to point out that he's not a liberal. He enjoys throwing out insults, both general and specific, about anyone conservative
while claiming no real position of his own for anyone to call him on. He indulges in personal attack after personal attack--usually cloaking them in
generalizations so everyone knows who he's talking about without him technically getting "personal".
Personally, I think it's a hateful and cowardly tactic that purely gives him jollies without adding anything whatsoever to the discussion. Basically, he just enjoys being a complete ass. After enduring his shit for years, I put him on ignore. When I can avoid expanding his ignored posts out of curiosity, I find that I get a lot more out of these forums. Ignore him and argue with Gandol and Cafu instead. At least they can claim to add something to the discussions, and have interesting things to say at times.
