We have only one theater within 50 miles that shows something besides the typical studio pictures you'd see at your local Cinemark or AMC.
Any recs from these? Flawless, Smart People, Deception, Then She Found Me, The Visitor |

Haven't seen any of them and none are what I'd classify as "indie", per se. I have a mild interest in seeing The Visitor only because I
enjoyed Thomas McCarthy's first movie, The Station Agent.
Late winter to late spring is always an awful dumping ground for movies, whether they get large scale releases or limited like these. |

Yeah, I knew that was a bad choice of words. Just couldn't think of a better one. I've seen Iron Man and Speed Racer. Consider the sum total of my three closest theater's remaining offerings: What Happens in VegASS, Made of Honor, Baby Mama, Forbidden Kingdom, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Nim's Island, Horton Hears a Who, Harold and Kumar. We have one theater that offers "different" movies. That was the list I gave. |
