In this case, a company wants to test its cows for Mad Cow disease, but the Bush administration is trying to prevent that:
The Bush administration on Friday urged a federal appeals court to stop meatpackers from testing all their animals for mad cow disease, but a skeptical judge questioned whether the government has that authority.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080509/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/mad_cow![]()
The government seeks to reverse a lower court ruling that allowed Kansas-based Creekstone Farms Premium Beef to conduct more comprehensive testing to satisfy demand from overseas customers in Japan and elsewhere.
Shouldn't a company be allowed to test its cows for whatever the hell they want to test them for? What happened to that republican ethic of not interfering with business?
