Not often Kayso and I see eye to eye on something, but I wholeheartedly agree with his assessment of Sharpton. And there is an ointment for it - quit giving in every time Uncle Al plays the race card. That certainly won't solve racism or keep people from doing stupid racist acts, but maybe it would force them to come up with another reason beside race for why things happen to "their people".

Last year, Sharpton and conmen like him grasped onto an issue in my area. Basically, a white security guard at a high school was accused of breaking a girl's arm after a food fight. Sharpton came to town to hold a rally to plan for a march two months from that date. Meanwhile, a reporter asked the doctor if the arm was broken, and the doctor said no, the x-rays showed no damage and the mother requested a cast. Sharpton never came back to our area after that. I guess the truth is a good solution.

Kayso is right, this is Sharpton's con. It's how he pays the bills and really it's a shame that he's viewed as a leader in the black community. To me it looks more like he incites racism then cashes in on the ensuing anger.

Maybe because I live in Southern California, but his insinuation sounds a lot like the Rodney King aftermath - appease us or we will riot. What else is he hinting at when talking about bringing the city to a stand still and taking the law into their own hands?
