I read that as Quakers.

The new Madrid had a quake when I was in college early 90's or so. Not a very big one but some quacks came out stating the big one would happen soon. I
beleive this on was bigger than that one. The quakes don't happen ofter, but are worse because of the harder rock than would be in the areas next to the
ocean.
