Since I am almost 100% positive I am never going to play EQ ever again, I am going to tell you a secret I have been holding for years.
For some stupid reason I think the Devs slipped in a cheat for their friends in the Field of Bone.
This cheat or "bug" was live across all servers.
The caves outside the pit, the ones with all those little burynai spiders. Well if you killed the entire spawn which was easy to do with a level 2 or something, a rare one would spawn.
If you killed this rare one it would dump an ungogly level of exp on the toon.
Anyways I got wind of this through an emulator board and got friend to level 20 in like two hours.
At this point in my Eq playing time I was positive that there were several more instances of this happening throughout the game. Little built in cheats to give players
in the know/connected an edge.
