I know this is kind of a lame topic, but if you own a pet you MUST get a Furminator. I swear I pulled a tall trashcan full of fur off one of my dogs with one
of these tonight. In fact, I'm pretty sure I killed my Roomba because of it. The furminator is a brush that builds a static charge as you use it and does
an amazing job of removing the undercoat. I can personally attest that those pics on the website are totally accurate.

That looks cool, and it appears they sell them just down the street from where I work. We have three cats that shed like snowstorms.

Very disappointing; I had images of a Terminator dressed as a furry...

viz, I use one on my cat, and although she doesn't normally like to be brushed, she tolerates this. It does do an excellent job.

The wife and I were talking about our dogs and how much hair they shed even after we groom them. This looks pretty interesting and apparently they sell them at
the local petstore. I'll have to go check on the price.

They're not cheap. The medium sized one I got was $40. I bought it with the intention of returning it if I didn't like it and after using it have no
plans at all to ever give it back.

We've been using one for about 6 months on our beagle. Even though we pull a trashcan-full of hair off her in one sitting, she still sheds like crazy.
It's amazing the dog isn't bald, because we could literally keep combing her and getting more and more hair off of her.

It's especially good for back hair.

Even though we pull a trashcan-full of hair off her in one sitting, she still sheds like crazy. You might look into changing the shampoo you use to wash the dog. When I first got my dog, there would be a disc of fur trapped by the bathtub drain whenever I would give him a bath. Just changing his pet shampoo reduced that by probably 80% or more. I forget who makes it, but it says "shed control" on the bottle and it definitely helps. And it smells like strawberries which is an improvement over wet dog smell. |
