Which disks do you need if you already own through ... god, I don't know... Omens of War or whatever that expansion is.

Or do you *have* to have Titanium? It isn't for sale anymore at everquest.com.

you can buy it for $20 probably at a store like Circuit City or Best Buy. or you might be able to search some sites to download it. it might be around 3.29 gigabytes with all 5 CD's.

They've been joining other groups that are working on the same project and taking code for their own emulator. They've also been hacking their forums and mirc channels for months, taking passwords and spamming them, basically being zekugees.

Bah :) DAOC is OK with emulator servers, mostly for euro servers so that people can just go in and play PVP and nothing else. You get a character with gear and 10 gold or plat (lots of money in DAOC) to buy whatever enhancements you want. It's really nice to just go in and play at max level just so you can enjoy PVP and not have to do the grind.

From what I could tell from Sony, you have to download the trial "Legends of Norrath" or something like that where you play to level 10 then have to pay to get more. I don't know if that free trial puts you in the tutorial or not.

/nod Before they implemented the most recent login screen, you would patch before you actually logged in. Now you have to log in before you can patch. Back in the day, anyone could download the game and all it's expansions. It's pretty useless without an account, besides the handful of people playing on these emulated servers.

You can still download original EQ and the EQ trilogy from Sony's FTP site. Aside from that, all the files that the patcher downloads are available to anyone it's just that it's hard to figure out what all you need if you aren't using the patcher. For example, here is a direct link to the zone file for Abysmal Sea:

http://patch.everquest.com:7000/patch/everquest/discord/abysmal.s3d.gz

So the thing to do would be to get a list of what all files there are and when they changed (http://patch.everquest.com:7000/patch/everquest/everquest-changes.xml) and make a script to download them all, or the ones that have changed since you downloaded the ones you have. Then use 7zip or whatever to gzip decompress all the ones ending in .gz and then delete the .gz files.

Or...

You could just grab EQXMLParser, point it at http://patch.everquest.com:7000/patch/everquest/everquest-changes.xml, output to an html file and download that list of files. I would personally alter the html file a bit and then point wget at the list to download them all, because that is a pretty shitty long list to download one by one or to try to queue up by hand.

You just need the proper eqgame.exe. You would still want to get all the zone files that the emulator supported; and patching the game used to be the easiest way to go about it. ;)

you need titanium for the server I linked. It's like $20 or you *can DL it (figure this out for yourself). I can even send ya the discs if you cant afford the 20.

If anyone wants to play let me know and i can pass plat/items to get ya started. Trying to get the population up as im enjoying it a lot.

For two-boxing do you need to get more than one forum ID? Do you need to install the game twice or can you just click on the eqgame.exe again and set up another log in to the game?

Kat, my guess is you'll need to run 2 separate versions of the game. I have to do this in WoW to run 2 accounts. All you do is make a folder as normal, and then make a duplicate folder with a different name but the same contents and run each game from it's folders .exe file.

I used to run multiple EQ instances out of the same directory and off the same executable. I don't know about the emulators though.
