I was thinking about this on the ride in to work this morning as I listened to the right wing radio station bash McCain over his commitment to not increase
taxes, after he voted against the Bush tax cuts. While I like lower taxes, I can't say that issue is something of top importance to me. So this of course
got me thinking of what my top 5 issues are, and I'm now curious what everyone else thinks.
So, if you wouldn't mind posting your top 5 (in order of importance) most important considerations when voting for the President. If you'd like, you could even follow it up with "and that's why I'm voting for so_and_so" or "and that's why I'm not really wanting to vote for so_and_so".
The object of this exercise is to help me become a more informed voter :)
If people like this idea, maybe a mod could sticky it through the election.
Could we limit posts in the thread to just the "top 5" and start new threads for debate about the issues or people's perception of the truth? This way people's reasons, which I'm really more interested in than explainations, could be easily seen.
