I am bored playing WoW, and I miss my high level characters, as well as having money. =) Thinking about playing EQ again and have a few general questions:
1) Has the community changed much? I mean, I know nobody here plays, but is it the same kind of friendly server for the casual player I remember? (I played from Kunark to whatever was after PoP.)
2) What is the best way to download it, as I no longer have the discs.
3) I have heard of a free trial, like 7 days, but I don't see anything on SoE's site except for new accounts.
4) I haven't played in 3 years or maybe more, will my character and equipment be ok?
5) I used to rarely sit LFG for long as a healer who knew his shit, however, would it be tough for a very outdated-geared Druid to find groups at 65?
6) (tech question): I have a computer that was built for me by a good friend. He is amazing with computers and out of old stuff he had laying around, he built me a gaming computer, a very basic one, no real frills besides the cooling system, it needs upgrades, but runs WoW perfect, with no lag, save for the major cities at times. Here are the specs: Intel Pentium 4 processor, 40 gig hard drive, 32 MB Nvidia game card, 512 MB of ram. (I also have cable modem for net)
Now, I know that my ram is low, and my video card is weak. The guy who built it, said I would have to upgrade before I could play EQ or WoW, however, I tried it for the hell of it, and WoW runs great! My friend who also plays, and has a pretty badass computer, said it looks and runs just as good as his.
So, if it runs WoW, shouldn't be ok with EQ? If you think otherwise, or have comments or advice for me, let me know. Thanks all, if anyone still plays look up Kainon, 65 druid or Viscerous 58 warrior, I am happy to help anyone in game.
