according to the radio, the last time a tornado formed in illinois in january was 1950 so it has happened before, but only once since they started keeping
records.
forecast is to be back down to the 30s by the end of the week. |

Heh... Was like 70 degrees today here in NW Arkansas. Tonight we've had storms and tornadoes in the area. Yesterday they were forecasting a high of 35
degrees tomorrow, but they've moderated that a bit--now they're calling for 40s on Wednesday, instead.
But weather here in the Ozarks is often pretty screwy.

It's 75 out right now and I called into work. Heading to the mall with my windows down sunroof open. These are the days I love South Florida. Then there
are the days I call Summer, when it's 98 at 100% humidity. :(

We had a fog like I haven't seen in a very long time up here. Major thaw. Driving was brutal. Schools were closed due to... fog. That's a new one.

I love it when it is foggy. Just love it. Got a major Nor'easter coming in tonight- I suspect that school will be closed tomorrow. This after having a week in the 50's-60's.

SNOW DAY! and probably another one on Friday! The snow is stunning today- the husband took pictures which I will post later. It is a nice big flakes so while the ground is barely covered, the trees looking amazing as they are covered. Guess I will do laundry today . . .

I live in the old Boston Naval Shipyard - I've had to shovel my deck five times already today. Hopefully it will stop early this afternoon. The worst part
is, my gate is frozen shut - it'll take sunshine or me going out there with a hair dryer to fix that.

We have had 30 feet of snow in the last 28 days on most of our passes. They've been closed for a day or more at a time for clearing of avalanche hazards.

Snow over ice. We've had this weird pattern where get a big bunch of snow, then the weather is warm and/or warm and rainy, the snow mostly melts (and this
played hell with the x-c skiing season), then we repeat.

We've gone from highs in the 30's to highs in the 60's here in North Alabama. I'm fairly certain that if more than an inch of snow ever fell
