um, so i wanted to bitch for a minute about this economic stimulus package. from what i understand $600 to $1200 checks are getting cut by the feds for a tune
of $28 billion dollars to kickstart the economy.
among other things, didn't bush senior do this to absolutely no effect on the recession that cost him his office?
in my opinion, why don't the jackasses in DC do something to expidite income tax returns since people have a habit of spending them which would be economic stimulus that doesn't piss away another $28 billion for nothing. after that they can flay greenspan alive for allowing the credit crisis to happen in the first place and sell tickets.
call me shocked and surprised, but the one real bipartisan effort to come out of this current congress is to utterly piss away money.

Republicans, for their part, were pleased that the bulk of the rebates-more than 70 percent, according to an analysis by Congress' Joint Tax Committee-would go to individuals who pay taxes.wtf do people who's income is so low that they don't pay income taxes do for the economy requiring a cash infusion to help kickstart the economy?
The first rebate payments could begin going out in May (link above)in may? i thought this was an action that was required immediately?!
