So xmas is over, the paper is shredded, what'd everyone get?

I got a new leather jacket, a new vest, the new eq2 expansion, some t-shirts, and a gift card for a new pair of sunglasses. Gave some framed pictures to my mom and dad, and a new tea set and a pink kayak (its what she wanted :p) for my GF.

If you saw an old fella eating a twix, you would think, 'thats a bit wierd innit?'

Me and my brothers got a combined gift this year that was an Xbox 360 with 3 extra controllers, Gears of War, Halo 3, Oblivion, and GH3. Also got some DVD's

I scored an XB360 HD-DVD attachment and Blade Runner HD-DVD Ultimate Cut, among other things, including Beautiful Katamari, COD3 and COD4 for XB360, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for Wii, and a bunch of CDs. Santa was pretty good to me this year.

An I-Pod Classic was the only good thing I got.

Other than that I got clothes I wouldn't be caught dead in, useless junk like cd holding racks, gift cards to places I never go, George Washington coin dollars, etc. Definately went in the hole over $400 this year! At least it's over though, I can't stand Christmas.

Great stuff. A few books and some clothes for myself. Met a few in-laws I'd never met before (that was actually a lot of fun, believe it or not). Experienced my niece's first Christmas where she really knew what was up (also a ton of fun). All-in-all, one of the best in recent memory.

I didn't get anything but I gave two Wii games, a tent, 2 chairs, a lantern and canteen, an electric guitar, drum set, Heroclix boxes, a lot of books, journals, 2 blocks of wood (no lie), a gift card, Cheddar flavored meal worms, Sour Cream & Onion flavored crickets, a rubik's cube, a karaoke machine, a hand-turned bowl, some handmade jewelry and a PDA.

My family never really buys anything for adults and clearly that ain't the norm cause this thread blows my mind (assuming most of you are adults). Come to think of it, I don't know anyone that buys more than token gifts for adults. /shrug

Our Christmas was spent quietly with the phones off, a nice meal and marriage (we honored Jean-Luc's mother by serving her favorite wine with a nice Belgian chicken stew).

Our gifts were small to each other, although I did buy the family a digital camera because we are really hoping to take a vacation this summer, and JL will most likely have to travel for his company, and he wants to send me pictures if he does (rather than use cell phones).

But the best part is that we both have the week off together and just get to enjoy each other's company. Even while we both are doing different things, we are thankful for each other.

Oh yea, and JL bought himself Guitar Hero for the PC:

Speaking of booze, I did get a bottle of Old Charter Proprietor's Reserve bourbon. That's really a winning bourbon and I think it has more character than much longer aged Elijah whats-his-name stuff that also costs a lot more.

Hmm, also got a bottle of Gosling's Black Seal rum. Nice for sipping like a brandy. Just incredibly smooth, complex, spicy. Doesn't last long when it can be sipped neat on a cold winter day.

And two bottles of sparkling whites, I'll try to find the name and run it by you guys.
