Not bad. Sadly, they lost a lot of the themes and subtext but it works pretty well as a movie, especially if you are not a fan of the book.

I saw it this weekend and rather enjoyed it. The first third or so of the movie kind of drags out, but the big space battles about 1/2 way through and at the
end more than made up for the initial slow pacing. I'm totally brain-farting on their names, but the grumpy dwarf and the sword wielding mouse were
absolutely hysterical, and the way they actually made the mouse look "combat effective" was highly entertaining to watch. I'm not normally
squeamish, but there were a few times watching where the mouse stuck his sword on normal sized folks that made me go "ouch" (not that it was gorey by
any means).

i didnt see the first movie, read the books back when i was in like 4th grade but have basically forgotten almost everything about them. but i dont recall the
books being as kiddy as the movies appear to be, but that may just be a relative perspective issue of then and now.
