My son is starting to enjoy working with animation on the computer, was wondering if anyone could suggest some good basic software to get him, to get his feet
wet.

My gut reaction is to go with Macromedia Flash 8, but that might be a bit too advanced if he's just starting. Might want to try Xara 3D 6.0 to start with
and let him get his feet wet with the basics.
Many times in battle, one might lose their mind, their life, their soul. What makes them a Marine is that they entered combat knowing the price they might pay, and chose to enter it anyway. |

Mirage Studio is as basic or advanced as you want it to be, you can do a lot with it. I've used it quite a bit.
